About BADLANDS

The new, vaguely acclaimed short film from director David Blumenstein and screenwriter Adam Wajnberg.

Is it Australian or Polish?

Artistic or shallow?

Brilliantly satirical or insane?

The answer to all these questions is

YES

Except that the film is Australian and not Polish, despite the writer's and director's Polish ancestry.

David Blumenstein is a well-known gadabout, comic book artist and film director, having been responsible for the short documentary CULTURE JAMMING and the animated epic HERMAN, THE LEGAL LABRADOR (Next Wave Festival, Raindance, Cinequest, SBS-TV). He studied at RMIT's Centre for Animation & Interactive Media.

Adam Wajnberg is a writer and actor who starred as Chuck in HERMAN, THE LEGAL LABRADOR. His next film, ZUCCHINI, will feature him weeping over a loaf of bread. He is currently studying Screenwriting at RMIT.
